Philips CareServant is a total concept consisting of hardware, software
and service. All kinds of services can be offered through a touchscreen
- a computer which is operated by touching the screen - or an integrated
interactive Philips TV with an intelligent remote control. The patient
has access to TV, radio, telephony services, video on demand, news,
hospital information, meal ordering services and products from the
hospital shop. With a keyboard attached, patients can also surf the
Internet, chat, and send and receive e-mails and SMS messages. The
options can be kept limited or they can be extended boundlessly.
