The Shanghai lab is a consumer centric research organization that is located at the front line of the emerging market. Our work focuses on diverse projects across the three sectors of Philips: Healthcare, Lighting, and Consumer Lifestyle. Our professionals are in general young and open minded self-starters, who are also very creative and energetic about their work.

Most important research topics?

In the Healthcare domain, we focus on chronic disease management, imaging system solutions, and community and home healthcare tailored for the Chinese market. In the Lighting domain, we are active in LED applications, intelligent lighting controls, and LED technology-enabled well-being solutions. In the Lifestyle domain, we carry out research in Asian cuisine, mother and child care solutions, and water and air purification.
