In the presence of several ministers from the
Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, Philips and the
university medical centers Maastricht UMC+ (the
Netherlands) and the Universitätsklinikum Aachen
(Germany) have signed a letter of intent for a joint
cross-border medical research program in the field of
cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
Prof. Henning Saß (left) and Guy Peeters MD (right),
chairmen of the Boards of Management of the Aachen and
Maastricht medical centers respectively, and Dr. Henk
van Houten (middle), head of the Healthcare Research
Program at Philips Research, have signed the letter of
intent.
