Cars of the future will contain far more electronics than they do
today, not only providing us with more sophisticated in-car
entertainment, but also replacing many of the mechanical systems
that currently connect the driver to the wheels. With steering,
braking, suspension and power-train systems all under electronic
control, cars have the potential to become a much safer form of
transport. For the foreseeable future, drivers will still need to
keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel, which
means that voice control of systems s is becoming an increasingly
important part of the driver interface.
