Volker Rasche has worked for Philips Research since he left university
in 1990 and talks enthusiastically about a job that has posed him some
of his greatest challenges but also given him some of his greatest moments
of satisfaction. Nothing, he says, is more rewarding than helping someone.
And it's the thought of helping someone to cheat death by avoiding or
surviving a heart attack that makes his work in cardiac imaging worthwhile.
Recently, he started a new challenge at Philips Medical Systems, working
as a clinical scientist directly alongside their clinical partners.
