Philips Research Cambridge is situated on the Cambridge Science Park to the north of the city.

  • By air

    London Stansted Airport (STN) is adjacent to the motorway M11 (Junction 8) approximately 30 miles south of Cambridge. It is well served by budget airlines such as Ryanair, easyJet, germanwings and so on.

    It takes approximately 45 minutes from the airport to the Science Park by car or taxi. An official airport taxi (Checker Cars) will cost approximately £65.
    There are also trains from the airport to Cambridge. The train station is approximately 10 minutes from the Science Park by taxi.

    London Heathrow (LHR) is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes drive by car (72 miles).

    London Gatwick (LGW) is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes drive by car (94 miles).

  • By train

    There is a frequent train service from London’s Kings Cross and Liverpool Street stations to Cambridge railway station. Travel time approximately one hour. The train station is approximately 10 minutes from the Science Park by taxi.

    from the South via M11
    Travel northwards on the M11. Exit at Junction 14 following the signs for Newmarket (A14E) and Ely (A10), which will take you on to the A14 travelling eastwards. At the second junction, leave the A14, following signs for Cambridge (A1309) and the Science Park. Take the fourth exit from the roundabout marked Cambridge (A1309) and Science Park and travel down the A1309 in the right-hand lane marked Science Park. Take the right-hand filter lane for the Science Park at the second set of traffic lights.

    from the West via A14
    Travel along the A14 eastwards leaving at the junction marked Cambridge (A1309) and Science Park.
    Take the fourth exit from the roundabout marked Cambridge (A1309) and Science Park and travel down the A1309 in the right-hand lane marked Science Park. Take the right-hand filter lane for the Science Park at the second set of traffic lights.

    from the West (via 428)
    Travel along the A428 eastwards and join the A14 (E) for Newmarket. Leave the A14 at the junction marked Cambridge (A1309) and Science Park.
    Take the fourth exit from the roundabout marked Cambridge (A1309) and Science Park and travel down the A1309 in the right-hand lane marked Science Park. Take the right-hand filter lane for the Science Park at the second set of traffic lights.

    from the North (via A10)
    Travel along the A10 down to the junction with the A14. Take the third exit from the roundabout marked Cambridge (A1309) and Science Park and travel down the A1309 in the right-hand lane marked Science Park. Take the right-hand filter lane for the Science Park at the second set of traffic lights.

    from the East (via A14)
    Travel along the A14 westwards, exiting at the junction marked Cambridge (A1309) and Ely (A10). At the roundabout take the first exit marked Cambridge (A1309) and Science Park and travel down the A1309 in the right-hand lane marked Science Park. Take the right-hand filter lane for the Science Park at the second set of traffic lights.
