Benno Hendriks, Research Fellow

Benno is with Philips Research since 1990. He has worked on Monte Carlo simulation of the electron transport in flat-panel displays based on electron hop transport, on light path optics design and manufacturing for Blu-ray Disc development, on miniaturized optics for small form factor optical drives in optical recording, and on camera modules based on FluidFocus technology. He also led a deep-dive study on light and health.
At present, he focuses on minimal-invasive optical devices for biomedical applications.
At Philips Research Eindhoven, he won the Gilles Holst Award (2005).
