Gert
is with Philips Research since 1979. He has been involved in the
luminescence of III-V compounds and porous silicon, in ultrafast
spectroscopy for the generation and detection of electrical transients
in strip lines, in femtosecond Ti-sapphire lasers (at Bell Labs) and
semiconductor lasers. He has also worked on optical methods for medical
applications focused on optical mammography. At present, he focuses on
photo-acoustical characterization of materials for optical storage, and
super-resolution for fourth-generation optical storage. He is part-time
professor at the University of Leiden. |
