Holger Moench, Research Fellow

Holger received his PhD in high-energy physics at RWTH Aachen, Germany, before joining Philips Research in 1991. He has made many contributions to the successful Philips UHP projection lamp in almost all aspects of the product: projection systems, plasma physics, lamp-electronic interaction and improved collection systems. He has built a close network with the customers of the lamp in major electronic companies.
Recently Holger has initiated activities for lasers as a very powerful light source and is now working on the design of new types of lasers and on their use in projection, sensing and new lighting applications.
