What is the Virtual lab?
The Virtual lab is an internet-based platform that enables:
- "Watching over the shoulder" of the analist via the internet
- Real-time collaboration between distant customers and
operators on-site
- Remote control of analytical instruments over the internet

Available equipment:
At present five techniques are accessible via the virtual lab:
- TEM: our high-end 300kV Transmission Electron
Microscope
- XPS: (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy)
- FIB (Focused Ion Beam)
- SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope)
- TOF-SIMS (Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry)
- . . . (upon request)
Additional equipment will be accessible in the near future
We offer:
- A web-based connection that enables "watching over the
shoulder" of the analist via the internet.
- Easy hook-up of additional equipment.
- A platform that was successfully tested by test users in the
Netherlands (Philips Research, DSM, Corus) and Japan, using
MiPlaza equipment.
